Three Bahamian juniors played the BSAC Tennis Local Fall Classic this past weekend in Brandon, Florida.

In the Boys 18s Edward Symonette lost  0-6, 0-6 to Visant Rajamanickam in the opening round, while in the Girls 18’s Vanina Lordanova defeated Erin Strachan 6-3, 6-4.

Danielle Thompson advanced to the semifinals, however was defeated 6-2, 6-3 by Janea Wilson.

PRIMARY SCHOOL SOCCER

New Providence Public Primary School Sports Associaton soccer got underway yestrday and will continue through Monday, 15th at the Roscow Davies Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.

Matches will be played daily on the aforementioned dates from 9:30 a. m. - 3:00 p. m.

VOLLEYBALL

In ladies NPVA action Sunday afternoon, the C.O.B Caribs defeated the Cougars in five sets, 22-25, 25-15, 25-17,17-25 and 15-7.

Jacintha Clarke lead the Caribs with 11 points (seven kills, four aces), while Brittany Bonamy lead the Cougars with 11 points (eight kills and three blocks)

In the men’s game the Technicians topped the Intruders in four sets 28-18, 25-18, 22-25 and 25-14.

Best scorer for Techs was Renaldo Knowles with 20 point (14 kills, two blocks, and four aces), while Glen Rolle lead the Intruders with 13 points (12 kills and one ace) . 

OLD TIMERS

SOFTBALL

The New Providence Old Timers Softball Association continues its playoff rounds, with the first entrants into the divisional championship.

The Dozer Pros advanced to the next round with a pair of wins over Cabinet World 8-7 and 23-6.

They will play the winners of the Crusaders/AGC Builders who will complete their series this Saturday.

FP Truckers also advanced to the divisional championship with wins over the Proper Care Sharks, 15-3 and 12-1.

They will face the winners of the series between Da Boyz and Home Boys, who will also complete their series this weekend.
