THE Nassau Airport Development Company has announced that effective Tuesday, October 16, there will be changes to traffic flow at the Lynden Pindling International Airport.

There will also be changes to boarding procedures for passengers travelling to non-US international destinations, NAD said.

On Tuesday, the new International Arrivals terminal will open for operation at LPIA. Stage three construction will also commence.

As a result, members of the public will access the International Arrivals Terminal from the Windsor Field roundabout leading to the US terminal, drive past the US Terminal and proceed to the new International Arrivals terminal.

The public will continue to access the Domestic and International Departures Terminals from the airport entrance closest to Coral Harbour Road.

The road leading to the Domestic and International Departures Terminals will now be open to two-way traffic.

Drivers are advised to obey all traffic signs.

A NAD statement said: “The public is also advised that persons checking in for International flights (ie those travelling to Canada, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean and Latin America) will check in as usual in the current International Departures terminal and be processed by security.

“We appreciate the public’s full understanding.”
