I didn’t think it was possible after battling a labour dispute, but Roger Goodell may have a greater stranglehold on this season than any other. He ended the Saints with the “Bounty System” fallout and enlisted the beleaguered replacement refs, which dominated every discussion on the NFL for four weeks. If only we can get him to rescue Chris Johnson’s talent from the All-Star Monstars on Space Mountain…

Week 5 Awards

The “You Had No Idea How Good I Was At This, Until You Saw Me Do It In Primetime” Award presented by Mitt Romney’s performance in the first Presidential Debate of the 2012 Campaign - Andrew Luck successfully engineering his first fourth quarter comeback which just happened to come against the reigning league MVP.

The “If I Say It Enough Times I Can Get Someone To Believe Me-No Matter How Absurd, Ridiculous And Offbase I Am” presented by everything Skip Bayless has ever said - Sports Illustrated Writer Don Banks comparing Cam Newton’s career path to Vince Young’s after early signs of a “sophomore slump.”

The “Hollow Success Never Seemed So Fun” presented by the never-ending sagas surrounding the North Abaco by-election which came to a head during last week’s town meeting - Russell Wilson’s supporters pulling hamstrings hopping on and off the bandwagon week after week.  It’s my favorite underdog storyline of the year.

The “I Know It’s Stupid, You Know It’s Stupid…But This May Be The One Time It Actually Works” award presented by Bahamian guys that slown down, honk their horns and shout at girls from their cars as they walk by - Rex Ryan going with the two quarterback approach…in the NFL.

The “Because of You, I Can Never Get On Board With This Team Award” presented by the Trisha Paytas’ viral video explaining why she supports Mitt Romney - Chiefs “fans” for cheering Matt Cassel was forced to leave the game with an injury

The “This Game Was A Formality “ presented by every Disney sports movie ever - Mason Crosby’s last second kick sailing wide right to cap the Colts comeback win over the Packers, a week after learning Head Coach Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with Leukaemia. #ChuckStrong, the movement is growing.
