Speed Week adding corporate partners

Bahamas Speed Week Revival’s event director, David McLaughlin, has announcedprogress in securing corporate partners and official suppliers for the 2012 version.

He said: “In a very difficult economic climate it is a testament to the Event and my team that we have welcomed so many partners back from our first year, as well as many new companies who have seen the benefits which can be gained from being involved in such a promising international sporting event”.

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism is once again supporting Speed Week, and has created hotel and travel packages that are intended to bring in many more visitors.

Shell, through local partner Sun Oil, is back. Pictet Bank & Trust is once again supporting the Speed Week Ball, incorporating the Auction of Promises. The Garzaroli family, owners of the Graycliff Hotel and Restaurant, are laying on another Thursday evening party.

Sponsors/partners include Youngs Champagne, Bahamas Fast Ferries, Oasis, Bahamas Waste and Schooner Bay, plus suppliers such as the Hilton, Sheraton, Breezes, JetBlue, Nassau Palm, American Airlines, Avis, Bahamas Airport Advertising, the Bahamas Tourism Channel and Noble Wines.
