Four questioned over attack on RBDF officers

FOUR CUBAN men are being questioned over an attack on two Defence Force officers early this morning.

According to reports, police were called to the Detention Centre around 10am after Defence Force personnel reported they were attacked by Cuban immigrants.

The Tribune understands two Cubans were fighting with each other when two Defence Force officers attempted to intervene.

When the officers tried to stop the altercation they were attacked by the men and two other Cuban nationals

Other officers intervened and “neutralised” the situation.

One Defence Force Officer and two Cuban detainees received minor injuries during the scuffle.

Active investigations continue.
