Stabbings leave three injured

FREEPORT - Grand Bahama Police are investigating two separate stabbing incidents that left two men injured and a minor in hospital.

According to reports, the first incident occurred around 4.15pm on October 11 in Hearn Lane.

Inspector Terecita Pinder, press liaison officer, reported that a 23-year-old man and a 16-year-old juvenile were involved in an altercation with a group of men which led to both being stabbed.

The victims were transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital where they were seen by a doctor.

The man’s injuries were not serious, but the 16-year-old was detained for further observation.

He is listed in stable condition.

Ms Pinder said the second incident occurred on October 11 in Pinder’s Point.

She said police were told that at around 10pm, a 22-year-old man was stabbed.

The victim was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and discharged.

Police are continuing their investigations into both incidents. Anyone with information that might assist the police is asked to call 350-3107, 350-3108, 911 or 919.
