Man in hospital after shooting

POLICE are investigating a shooting that left a Grand Bahama man in hospital early Monday morning.

The incident took place just after midnight on Nassau Street when the victim attempted to stop a man who stole a friend’s phone.

He was reportedly rushed to hospital. His present condition is unknown.

Police also reported that they shut down a night club on Prince George Wharf after the owners failed to produce a valid business licence.

The forced closure took place at some point between 8pm on Saturday and 4am on Sunday.

The police refused to identify the established in question, but did not say why.

Meanwhile, last night, officers issued an alert for a missing man from New Bight, Cat Island.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Fordance Moncur, who was last seen at around 9am on Friday, October 5.

Moncur is described as being of dark brown complexion, medium build and standing 6’ 3” tall.
