Ya hear Barack Obama weighed in on Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey feud? President Barack Obama weighed in on the feud between “American Idol” judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on Friday. According to Billboard.com he played along with a radio host’s questions despite appearing to know little about the inter-diva situation.

“I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident,” an amused Obama told Micheal Yo of the Yo Show. “I’m all about bringing people together, working for the same cause, I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forward and not going backwards.”

The radio host also asked Obama which artist he prefers.
Easy, he said. “Mariah, she’s actually done some events for us. I’ve gotten to know her and Nick (Cannon), she’s a wonderful lady. Nicki I don’t know, but I’ve got her on my iPod.”



Ya hear Nelly detained after heroin found on bus? Last Wednesday the rapper was stopped and detained at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca after it was reported drugs including heroin was found on the bus. According to TMZ, police found 36 small bags of heroin totalling .64 ounce, ten pounds of marijuana, and a loaded .45 calibre gun.
“A man named Brian Keith Jones, who was among seven people detained, admitted that the drugs and gun were his and was placed under arrest. Nelly, born Cornell Haynes, and the rest of the unidentified men were released,” Billboard.com reported.
