POLICE are investigating the circumstances that led to the death of a 31-year-old man on Goodman’s Bay beach.
Preliminary reports indicate the incident occurred shortly before 7pm on Wednesday, when the victim and a friend were swimming together.
The man reportedly started coughing and got out of the water, but quickly became unresponsive, police said.
Paramedics were called to the scene and the victim was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
