‘The knife that killed OJ’s wife stashed in Bahamas’

OJ Simpson is allegedly selling the knife used to kill his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman - and it’s apparently stashed in The Bahamas.

According to a report from the National Enquirer magazine, quoting a source, Simpson is asking $5 million.

The source told the US magazine that the knife was presently in The Bahamas.

“(O.J. is) looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can’t be traced directly to him,” the National Enquirer reported the source close to the ex-football star and actor.

The agent allegedly handling the deal doesn’t know where the knife is, but ‘insiders’ suspect it could be in The Bahamas, a place that would have been easy to get in and out of by boat, the tabloid said.

Simpson had a home in Kendall, Florida, close enough to reach The Bahamas by boat.

Simpson’s camp said the idea that he would even have the knife is ‘ludicrous,’ let alone be trying to sell it.

Simpson has long denied owning the knife, having been found not guilty of the murders of his wife and Goldman, who were slashed to death outside Nicole’s Los Angeles home on June 12, 1994. The knife was never found.

In 1997 a civil jury found Simpson liable for the deaths and ordered him to pay $33.5 million in damages to the victims’ families.

“It’s not just about the money,” the source reportedly told the Enquirer.

“O.J. will get satisfaction from putting one over on the cops and Ron Goldman’s family.”

Simpson is currently serving up to 33 years in prison for a 2007 armed robbery in which he said he was trying to recover his own sports memorabilia.

It is disappointing that the mighty Tribune would evenly partially reprint some trash that's published in the National Enquirer.

The national enquirer is accurate on a lot more stories than most people give them credit for. That being said, am sure there are other stories much more pertinent to the lives of Bahamians and others who have to live here 24/7. This is not news!

Agree. The Enquirer established its credibility during the 90s when it began to regularly publish news which the so-called mainstream media refused to do.

The 'source' is spot on. These bums always have to get the last word, in this case by putting one over on the cops and the Goldman family.

Often, however the souveniers they frequently keep such as this knife, are their undoing.
