Bahamas National Pride Association courtesy call

BOARD members of the Bahamas National Pride Association paid a courtesy call on Ken Dorsett, Minister of the Environment and Housing.

They discussed the government’s commitment to supplying communities with open bin trash compactors that would be collected on a schedule, as well as creating green spaces throughout New Providence. Minister Dorsett expressed an interest sustaining the government school can recycling programme and extending it to include plastics.

He invited the members to return to the ministry at a later date to discuss more plans for managing the environment and said he wants the public to know that the responsibility for parks, roads and verges falls directly under the Ministry of Works portfolio.
