STUDENTS of the LW Young High School had to be evacuated after an electrical fire broke out at the school on Bernard Road yesterday.
Firemen had staff assemble students in a field in the back of the campus while they extinguished the blaze and ensured that the building was safe enough for them to return.
Staff at the school said the incident served as an excellent fire drill in the first few days of the new school year.
