Woman accused of conspiring to kill her husband

A WOMAN accused of conspiring to kill her banker husband has had her case fast tracked to the Supreme Court for trial, while her co-accused had charges against him discontinued.

Renee Sherman, 43, of Yamacraw Shores, whose case has been forwarded to the higher court, is charged with conspiring to commit murder and aiding and abetting the murder of Stephen Sherman.

Mr Sherman, an assistant manager at the Royal Bank of Canada in Palmdale, was shot in the head when he pulled up to his Yamacraw Shores home on the evening of February 17.

He was robbed of his cell phone before being shot.
Renee Sherman and 33-year-old Jermaine Russell of Pinewood Gardens, who had been co-accused on the two charges, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez yesterday. 
Crown prosecutors entered a nolle prosequi against Russell and charges were discontinued.

Renee Sherman and 21-year-olds Janaldo Farrington and Cordero Bethel, both of Pinewood Gardens, will now stand trial in connection with Mr Sherman’s death.

Renee Sherman is on $20,000 bail.
