Pastors' visit to cabinet

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Is it possible to know the names and denominations of the several pastors who recently met in the Cabinet Room and who subsequently participated in a luncheon in the west?

It was stated at the time that these pastors gave their support prior to and after the general election. (A photo was issued to the media). No doubt these pastors offered similar respect to previous administrations in order to appear at least to be neutral which they should be since their congregations possibly comprise persons of different political persuasions? I do not recall, such meeting.

Also, could we assume that the pastors chastised the same MPs who behaved so badly in Parliament during the last administration while they sat in opposition thereby setting bad examples for the youth of the nation and others so inclined to bad behaviour?

It was felt at that time that it would take a long time to undo the damage caused by the disrespect shown in the House of Assembly and so it has. The country has been under attack since then because of – among other things – petty jealousies. A developer could not even give a ride to a Bahamian on his aircraft to Nassau, from the Family Island.
