THIS weekend, the Highgrove Singers will raise their voices and raise lupus awareness at their annual summer concert series “Songs From the Heart”.

This will be the 16th time the singing ensemble has put on a major annual concert.

Group conductor Adrian Archer said part proceeds from the event will be given to Lupus Bahamas 242, a non-profit group committed to raising lupus awareness and providing support to Bahamians living with the chronic illness.

The event is being held under the patronage of Governor General and Lady Foulkes and will take place on Friday, September 14 at 8pm and Sunday, September 16 at 5pm at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Kirk, Princess Street.

The performance will include choral compositions by 20th century composers and will also feature guest artist Giavanna Knowles.
