FNM will win vote in Abaco

EDITOR, The Tribune.

I strongly believe the FNM will win and regain the North Abaco seat in the upcoming by-election because North Abaco voted FNM for five consecutive general elections and the FNM has simply been the best for the entire island of Abaco. North Abaco has voted for the former Prime Minister and then candidate – the Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham and for the FNMi n 1992, 1997, 2002, and 2007 and in 2012.

In essence, Abaco has been transformed in many areas, including infrastructure developments of schools, docks, roads and the North Abaco Airport (that was recently completed; the upgrading of water supplies, etc) . Abaco has been one of the few islands in the Bahamas that become economically stabilized – not seeing a great economic fall like other islands. Quite frankly, there

are Bahamians that flock to Abaco in search of employment opportunities. All of the above

mentioned improvements to the North Abaco constituency was spearheaded and supervised by the Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham.

Greg Gomez is a strong and qualified candidate who has leadership skills to take the great constituency of North Abaco to greater heights and ready to continue to build on the foundation started by Mr. Ingraham.

Once elected, the FNM and Mr. Gomez will continue to build upon the foundation and legacy that Mr. Ingraham has set. These include the different programmes and initiatives the former Prime Minister started – which Mr. Gomez will like to see implemented – such as the port and the North Abaco Bridge and things that will boost the economic growth in the North Abaco area.

One of Mr. Gomez’s aims is to see young people develop their skills and talents, becoming leaders in their various communities, and thus the society at large. I am pleased to see this.
