TWO men are in hospital in serious condition following a double stabbing earlier this week.
According to police reports, the victims were stabbed multiple times around 10pm on Monday in the Market Street north area.
At present police, are uncertain of the circumstances surrounding this incident, but said active investigations continue.
In other news, police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a man responsible for an armed robbery.
The incident occurred shortly before 4pm on Monday at business on Soldier Road north.
An employee was leaving the business when he was approached by an armed gunman who robbed him of the company’s deposit bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area in a maroon car heading south along Soldier Road, according to initial reports.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding this or any other incident to contact police.
