A live recording of the song will take place during the event set for October 13 at the Holy Trinity Activity Centre.

Performances by gospel artists include Shaback, Miss Gospel Bahamas, The Royal Bahamas Police Force Choir, The Gawda Group, Vow Dance Ministries, ordained worshippers and others.

It was the vision of Pastor Delano Rolle to start New Direction Gospel Ministry two years ago. For the group, the concert will be a soul winning event, as they seek to fulfill the assignment they were given in 2010.

“This is the most important thing for them during the concert, because if souls are not brought to Christ their event is in vain,” said Christina Sweeting member of New Direction Gospel Ministry.

“We are having the concert to promote our original song ‘He Is’. The audience can expect lives to be changed, yolks and bondages to be broken and for a supernatural miracle to take place.

“We hope that lost souls will be won in the name of Jesus and people will come to Christ and that people would have a better understanding for true worship.

“We hope to gain and win souls for Christ at the end of this concert, and it is very important to achieve this because when we answered the call of God we were mandated as Christian to bring souls to Christ through our spiritual gift of music and worshippers,” Ms Sweeting said.

The group first came together in August 2010. However, before emerging as a new gospel ministry Ms Sweeting said Pastor Rolle was instructed to keep their group in training for three months.

“This was not only to enhance our God given anointing but to fast, pray, and increase in our spiritual life.

“We have to minister to ourselves before we can come forth to minister to the people of God and those that are hurting,” she told Tribune Religion.

“We came together for the first time in August because of the call of God that was on each of our lives.

“We not only blended our voices but we also blended in unity, family, like we knew each other for years.

“The group came together as a collective body and composed the name New Direction Gospel Ministries where, with our voices combined we shall steer lost souls into a new direction in Christ,” she said.

The group’s ministry through song is not limited to Nassau. In their short time of existence New Direction Gospel Ministry has made numerous mission trips, to Eleuthera and one to Tampa Florida to the feast of Tabernacle.

“We believe in the divine healing and the power of God and through this ministry.

“We intend to chase demons and break yokes in the name of Jesus.”
