Every morning, an unkempt man is stationed at the Village Road and Shirley Street traffic light begging. While my heart goes out to the less fortunate, this man is mercurial and, as a woman, I find it unsettling having him tap on my car window every morning asking for “one dollar.” As I said, this man is mercurial.
Can we please have some law enforcement here? Loitering and soliciting are illegal and, in this day of out of control crime, people should not be allowed to go around knocking on car windows. Perhaps Urban Renewal or the Department of Social Services can assist this person?
