Man fights for life after stabbing

A 24-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after being repeatedly stabbed.

The attack reportedly occurred around 5pm on Thursday.

Police said the victim, of Price Street, Nassau Village, was at a property in Forbes Street, when he was approached by a man who robbed him then stabbed him.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was last night listed in serious condition.

In a separate case, more than 95 rounds of ammunition were confiscated by police early Friday morning.

According to reports around 12.30am officers from the Internal Security Division (ISD) acting on information went to a bushy area in Parkgate Road off Kemp Road where they discovered ammunition.

No arrests were made.

A few hours later, around 5am, police confiscated a handgun along with a quantity of suspected marijuana.

Police say officers from the Central Detective Unit (CDU) were on routine patrol in Deveaux Street off East Street when they spotted a man acting suspiciously.

It is reported that when he saw the officers he ran off evading capture.

Police searched the area and found a handgun along with a quantity of suspected marijuana.

Police investigations continue in all

cases.
