Two men hurt in shootings

POLICE are investigating two separate shootings that sent two men to hospital on Sunday.

According to police reports, the first incident occurred at about 6:43am when a 36-year-old man was shot multiple times at his home on Parkgate Road.

The man was taken to hospital in a private vehicle where he was detained and listed in serious but stable condition, police said.

They added that they have no other information regarding the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Their reports said the second incident occurred shortly before 9pm in the area of Montagu Beach.

Police said a 43-year-old man of Golden Gates was involved in an argument with a group of men when he was shot.

He was taken to hospital by Emergency Medical Services personnel. He was detained in serious condition.

Police are investigating and are appealing to members of the public for any information they might have on these two incidents. The public is asked to contact police at their emergency numbers or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 328-TIPS.

In another matter, police said they arrested a 45-year old man of Prison Street in Inagua at 6:30pm Sunday when he was found in possession of a shotgun and a quantity of shotgun shells.
