26.6 N-78.7 W Art Exhibition

Del Foxton, Susan Moir Mackay and Boryana Korcheva, all Grand Bahama artists, are preparing for their new show 26.6 N-78.7 W on the 18th April 2013 on Grand Bahama Island. The three artists have different preoccupations: their work and methods are diverse. They are different ages and at different points in island life; Mackay is moving back to Scotland in the summer, Korcheva has recently moved to the island and Foxton has been a permanent resident for many years now. The only commonality is their current location:

BAM Presents: The Vagina Monogues

Bahamas Artist Movement, (BAM), is proud to be a lead participant in the V-Day 2013 Campaign. The organisation has been granted the rights for a V-Day benefit production of Eve Ensler’s amazing and award-winning play, “The Vagina Monologues” as a fundraiser for The Bahamas Crisis Centre, an organization that works tirelessly to stop violence against women and children.

Over 20 teams will compete for over $2500 in prizes and a grand prize trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico to compete in the Grand Championship--Noon to 7. Junkanoo Rush-out at 6pm. Event is at the Green Parrot NAssau/ Bay St Marina. Cost is $15 for adults and $5 for kids. ALL THE Food and BBQ can handle.
