Two injured in shootings

TWO men are fighting for their lives in hospital after being shot over the weekend in two separate incidents.

The first incident occurred around 11:20pm Saturday.

Police say the 22-year-old victim was standing in front of his home on Willow Tree Avenue, Pinewood Gardens, when two men on motorcycles armed with handguns, opened fire and shot him multiple times. The suspects then sped off. The victim was taken to hospital in a private vehicle. He is in critical condition.

A few hours later, at about 2am, another man was shot, this time in the Cordeaux Avenue area. According to reports, the victim was standing in front of his home when he was approached by a man who shot him in the stomach. The suspect fled on foot.

The victim drove himself to the Wulff Road police station and was rushed to hospital by ambulance where he is listed in serious condition.
