ST John’s, rebounding from their only loss a week ago, took their frustrations out on St John’s with a 65-24 rout to push their second place record to 5-1 in the 19-and-under division of the Baptist Sports Council’s 2013 Basketball League at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex on Saturday.

Macedonia, who handed St John’s their only loss, stayed undefeated on top of the standings at 6-0 as they took care of Macedonia’s No.2 team 45-35.

In another showdown between the same team, the Eagles Nest No.1 beat the Eagles Nest No.2 37-30.

Meanwhile, the Men of Vision pushed their record to 6-0 as they took care of the Eagles Nest 47-35 in the battle of the final two undefeated teams in the men’s division. Here’s a summary of some of the games played:

St John’s 65,

Faith United 24

Roosevelt Whylly scored a game high 16 points and DeVonte Strachan added 14 in their 19-and-under win. Gary Williams had five to lead the losers.

Macedonia 56, BIBA 51

Delano Knowles scored 16 points and Julius Smith had 10 in their men’s victory. Brian Johnson had 14 and Donny Carroll had 12 in the loss.

Men of Vision 47,

Eagles Nest 35

Crus Simon scored a game high 17 points and Bernard Bonaby had 12 in their men’s victory in the battle of two undefeated teams.

Kenneth Pratt had 11 in the loss.

Golden Gates No.1 37,

St Mark’s 36

Dominique Beadle had a game high 12 points and Raynard Minus added six in their men’s victory.

Amon Baker had eight in the loss.
