FREEPORT - A 56-year-old male pedestrian who was hit by a car almost a month ago died in hospital on Saturday.
Philip Bethel, of 102 West Fig Corner, Pioneers Way, was walking near the corner of Adventurers Way and Murchinson Drive when he was struck by a silver 2009 Chevy Cobalt. He was transported to Rand Memorial Hospital, where was admitted in critical condition.
His death pushes the traffic fatality count on Grand Bahama to nine for the year.
