Police identify shooting victim

THE 40-year-old man who was shot and killed on Sunday has been identified at Terrance Musgrove of Dunmore Avenue and Hospital Lane.

Police say Musgrove was at Lightbourne Avenue off Seymour Street around 1.30am, when he was shot multiple times by the occupants of a white four-door Nissan rental car.

He died on the scene.

Police are still investigating and are appealing to anyone who may have information that can assist with the investigation to call 911, 919, 322-3333/4, 502-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 328-TIPS.

Traffic victim named

Police have identified the country’s latest traffic fatality victim as 24-year-old Jason Julian McDonald of Passion Drive, Eastwood Estates.

McDonald was driving a black 2004 Kia Sorrento, on Prince Charles Drive early Saturday morning when he collided with a grey 2002 Nissan Maxima.

According to reports, both vehicles were travelling east along Prince Charles Drive when the accident occurred.

McDonald sustained serious head injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigations into that matter continue.

The incident pushed the country’s traffic fatality count to 35 for the year.
