A SATURDAY night Kemp Road shooting left one man dead – and last week, Eleuthera police shot another man in both of his legs, leaving him hospitalised in police custody.

Both incidents, as well as another Saturday shooting at Potters Cay Dock, are currently under police investigation.

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the persons responsible for the Kemp Road murder.

The incident occurred shortly after 10pm in Whites Addition. The victim was shot several times in his body, police say, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Earlier that same day, around 12:40am at Potters Cay Dock, a 26-year-old man was shot in both of his legs.

The victim was at the western end of the dock when the incident occurred and was taken in a private vehicle to hospital where he is detained in stable condition.

Police are appealing to members of the public who may have any information about this incident to contact them.

Police are also reporting this weekend that on Monday of last week, a 31-year-old man of Lower Bogue, Eleuthera was shot by police.

The incident reportedly occurred around 6:45pm on August 5 and resulted in a suspect being shot in both of his legs.

According to police reports, he was taken to the local clinic and later airlifted to Nassau where he is detained in stable condition in hospital under police custody.

An officer was also injured during the incident, police say, and was taken to hospital where he was treated and discharged.
