Cuban protests to resume in Miami

Cuban protestors plan to resume their demonstrations against the Bahamas today in Miami.

Democracy Movement representative Ramon Sanchez said their group has learned that a group of Cubans detained in the Bahamas is expected to be repatriated to Cuba. He is now calling for these migrants to be sent to a third country instead.

"It's sad, but if this hangs over our heads we have no choice but to begin our demonstrations and (this) morning you will see us begin our hunger strike in front of the Bahamas Consul office in Miami," Mr Sanchez said.

The Cuban protest group had initially called off its weeks-long demonstrations against the Bahamas after Panama had indicated its desire to accept the Cuban migrants being held here.

So they come to our country on the way to the US and when we say we're gonna send them back to Cuba they want to protest?

Who do these people think they are?

We are stuck in the middle. Send them back to Cuba and let that be the end of it.
