THE police are requesting the public’s help in locating two male suspects responsible for a burglary and armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday.
According to reports, an Eastern Road couple was at home around 4.30am when two masked men, armed with a handgun, forced their way into the house and demanded cash.
The men robbed the couple of electronic items, jewellery, and an undetermined amount of money.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call 919, or if they wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 328- TIPS (New Providence) or 300-8476 (Family Islands).
Police advised the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour – especially people looking in or lurking around houses at night.
Police also said:
• Home alarm systems should be activated at all times, even while you are at home
• Culprits can be deterred by leaving the outside lights on
• Windows and doors should be checked to ensure they are locked before you go to bed.
