Renewed plea for missing boy, 17

By RASHAD ROLLE

DISTRAUGHT family members of a missing 17-year-old boy are appealing to anyone who may have information concerning his whereabouts.

Cordero Ash was last seen at Montagu Beach on July 30. He was with friends, and wearing navy blue basketball shorts.

Cordero lives in Claridge Road and is known to frequent Kemp and Carib Roads and Mackey Street.

His mother, Patrice Ash, 50, told The Tribune yesterday about her agony as she awaits news of her son.

“All my insides are empty,” she said. “I don’t know how to sleep properly, how to eat properly. It’s so rough. My doctor had to prescribe something because I probably would’ve flipped already.

“My family from South Andros is here and we’re looking for him. I know the police doing their job but we really need closure. My baby is still out there.”

Ms Ash said she believes the friends of the boy who accompanied him to the beach are withholding information from police.

“Someone knows something. If you have a conscience, free up. We need some closure as a family,” she said.

Anyone with information about what may have happened to Cordero Ash is asked to call police on 911, 919 or 322-3333/4; the Central Detective Unit on 502-9990/1/2 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 328-TIPS.
