TWO men robbed a group of teenagers and shot a young woman during an armed robbery.

Just after 2am last Wednesday a group of nine teenagers travelling in two vehicles on their way home from a night out stopped in front of Sure Alarms on Village Road after one car got a flat tyre.

When they stopped to change the tyre a white Honda pulled up and a man got out and approached the teenagers asking if they needed any help.

After the group told the man that they were OK he returned to the Honda. The Honda then blocked in the two parked vehicles and two men emerged one armed with a shot gun and another with a hand gun.

The men lined the teenagers against the wall and robbed them. A struggle broke out between one of the gunmen and a teenager.

The teenagers scattered but in the process a young woman was shot. She is currently receiving medical attention.

This is so sickening that our own are preying on us like this..but the thug who had the handgun can easily be identified if the video is sent off for enhancement. While we are told not to fight back when being robbed, it as a brave and wise decision in this case. Even though one person got shot who knows what would have been the outcome had the teens not stood their ground and fought back. They emasculated the punk robber in the hoody who thought he was running things. he was starting to get really aggressive but got made to run like a stray dog on Halloween night.. so 'bold and biggety' when had the gun but once challenged he was a real wimp... probably still somewhere hiding like a lil girl..hope he brag to his boys how he got punked! big time

I think the young man who tackled one of the punks who was trying to rob him and his friends deserves some recognition.While his identity should be concealed for obvious reasons the bravery he demonstrated by standing up to the punks who tried to rob him should not go in acknowledged. The only reason I heard past the first second of her spiel was that we were with some new friends, and they were briefly cornered by her. Fortunately they wised up quickly once my girlfriend mentioned seeing her the day before.
