Hard to believe offer was blocked

EDITOR, The Tribune.

It is hard to believe that the members of the Veterinary Medical Association of the Bahamas would block the very generous offer of free help from Foreign Vets, their only purpose being to relieve and reduce the suffering of what was and still is (but better since their first visit), the ever increasing, unwanted, mistreated animal situation in the Bahamas.

Didn’t any of the business members of VMAB notice the thousands and thousands of pathetic strays all over our streets before now? The Bahamas Humane Society

is stretched to working and caring for as many as they can. Why is VMAB all of a sudden so interested in jumping in and pushing the others out?

Money?

Did any one with a “say” in Government notice the visitors coming to our Better in the Bahamas shaking their heads and remarking loudly at the sight of these street animals?

Thankfully, those visiting Vets made a difference, but we need them again until the overwhelming problem eases.
