UNIQUE Vacations, the New Providence-based sales and marketing company, will create up to 100 jobs when it opens its new corporate headquarters in summer 2014.

The firm, which is the exclusive worldwide representative for Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts, is  scheduled to open its new premises in August 2014.

The 30,000 square foot facility will house the company’s existing Bahamas-based team, as well specific divisions relocating from different countries throughout the world, including information technology, call centres and accounting, company executives confirmed to Tribune Business yesterday.

Roger Seivright,   UNIQUE Vacations managing director, said: “This is a thrilling milestone in our company’s history, and provides the opportunity to further expand our company’s base in the Bahamas as well as enabling us to continue offering a first-class level of service to clients such as Sandals Resorts International.”

Unique Vacations currently boasts 57 employees in the Bahamas, with worldwide offices boasting an additional 500 staff in countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Jamaica and Saint Lucia.

The firm offers marketing, sales and reservations support. It has been operating from offices located on East Bay Street, Nassau, since 2009.

“This new facility will become one of the most highly sophisticated in the region which, as well as delivering considerable economic benefits to the Bahamas, will also offer the impartation of specialist knowledge and skills transfer in areas such as sales and marketing, social media, finance and information technology to Bahamians,” said Mr Seivright.

“It is a unique development that will make the Bahamas the envy of the Caribbean, and we are grateful to the Ministry of Labour, which has - and continues to be - a tremendous partner, and is instrumental in helping to identify the local talent that will drive our company onwards.”
