Injured motocyclist airlifted to Nassau

FREEPORT – A motorcyclist who was discovered injured and unconscious in the street in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, has been airlifted to New Providence for medical treatment.

According to reports, police learned shortly before midnight on Wednesday that a Caucasian man was seen lying at the intersection of Fire Road and Doctor Stratton Drive. When officers and paramedics arrived at the scene, they discovered that the victim had sustained injuries to the head.

A black and grey motorcycle, which was still running, was also found nearby.

The injured man was flown to the Princess Margaret Hospital in New Providence for further medical attention.

Inspector Terecita Pinder reported that police do not know the identity of the victim, and are appealing to the public for help.

She said anyone that has a missing relative or information that may assist should call 367-2560, 367-3437, 911, 919, or Grand Bahama Police on 350-3107/8, 911/919.
