With the countdown on for the upcoming Junkanoo Parades, Scotiabank (Bahamas) has provided financial donations to the major groups.
The bank’s spokesperson, Leah R. Davis, presented group representatives with financial contributions to assist with preparations for the Boxing and New Year’s Day parades.
“Scotiabank has been making annual donations to the major Junkanoo groups for more than 10 years and we are proud to assist with the development of culture in the Bahamas” said Ms Davis.
The leader of the Saxon Superstars, Percy ‘Vola’ Francis’ thanked Scotiabank on behalf of the Junkanoo groups.
“We appreciate Scotiabank’s assistance and are grateful to them for their generosity,” said Mr Francis
Ms Davis added: “Scotiabank is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work.”
