A HIGHLY successful adopt-a-thon saw the Bahamas Humane Society find new homes for 63 dogs and cats over the weekend.
Due to the tremendous demand, the BHS has announced that the special $10 fee for adult pets will be extended until Sunday, December 22.
Adoption hours are 11am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

That is a very good initiative.
I was just browsing the VAT drafts for the govt websites, and they specifically say that veterinary services are vatable. And pet food seems to be vatabale too, as it is not listed. That is sad and will cause many people in financial difficulties to abandon their pets.
