ONE man is dead and another is fighting for his life in hospital following a traffic accident on Wednesday night.
The crash took place at around 9.30pm.
Police say a 29-year old woman driving a 2001 Ford truck was turning west onto Robinson Road when she collided with a 29-year-old man and his 27-year-old passenger who were travelling east on a scooter.
The driver and his male passenger were rushed to the hospital by ambulance but the driver died of his injuries a short time later. The other man is in serious condition.
The woman was unharmed. Police say investigations are ongoing, and are reminding drivers to be extra careful during the holiday season.
The public was warned to avoiding drinking and driving, never text and drive, and always be courteous to other drivers.

In this time of crime and (domestic) violence Burger King should be made to account as to why it is so aggressively promoting an 'angry' whopper in the Bahamas. Why would an international food chain want to promote any angry food in this day in time? It wasn't too long ago that fast food franchises. like Burger King, had to spend millions to revive their businesses after the beef industry was hit with mad cow disease. Now they are promoting an angry whopper. Is their any connection between the two. Is it not ok for cows to go mad when they were being fed a diet that contained parts of dead cows (remember cows are vegetarian or herbivores) but it is ok for humans to be fed angry food. What is the purpose of selling angry food anyways? And what is the effect on humans who eat the angry whopper from Burger King? Someone should be made to give account. NOW!

@John i just read another 20 year study from the university of Michigan about how shouting at and beating kids is akin to verbal and physical abuse and just makes aggressive violent adults ,,i see it everyday here under the guise of "spare the rod " nonsene

We, (Black Bahamians) were the victims of 500 years of shouting and beating and violent physical abuse, a/k/a S L A V E R Y and we had no recourse. To stand up meant losing your life or getting your essential parts cut off. It meant more harsher abuse. Would you like to stand by and watch your boss rape your wife or daughter? Do you think that is the reason for our violent society today? At least in part? Has anyone done a study on the abuse and the effects of 500 years of slavery on Black folk? But why would an international food company want to promote angry food? All day you hear it on the radio stations...angry, angry, angry whopper, get yours now! Did you get your angry whopper yet? Is there some subliminal message being sent to our young people? You didn't address that.

these young men,the majority of them are reckless on these motorcycles therefore putting themselves at risk,its a pity how the young men in the country are dying ,almost an average of two per week.

Someone lost a life man, a lot of female drivers don't pay attention to the road. I know this because I'm a biker too and was hit by a female, most of them are constantly texting or doing something where they are not aware of anyone or anything. R.I.P my brother!!
