MIAMI, Florida – Relatives and fellow church members joined Helen Fisher-Roberts in celebrating her 90th birthday during a lunch and party held at Renaissance at the Gables.
The Bahamas Consulate in Miami was represented by Consul General Ricardo Treco, who presented Mrs Fisher-Roberts with a plaque commemorating this milestone in her life.
A former teacher, Mrs Fisher-Roberts was a faithful and very active member of the Nassau Bahamas Association (now Bahamian-American Association) in New York before she retired and relocated to Florida some years ago.
She descends from the Bahamas and is related to the Gibson family of Eleuthera.
