A woman was shot dead in her convenience store on East Street this afternoon, while a man in the store was shot in the leg.
Police say the motive for the murder appears to be robbery. They are continuing their investigations.

Some people say the dumbest things. Why does the money have to be for numbers? Regardless of what the money was for, it was a daring, daylight armed robbery, The robber shot two people in cold blood and killed one. How do you know that he didn't want the money to buy medicine or drugs? Murder is murder and until we start hanging these cold blooded killers it will continue!
