THE Sports Outreach Level 1 - Certification Course In and Through Sports is currently underway.
The event, organised by Commune Sports Vahamas inconjunction with the International Sports Coalition is being held nightly at Cousin McPhee Carthedral on Carmmichael Road.
Under the theme: ‘Going Fishin,’ the course will run through Friday, February 16. The faciliators are Andre Virtue and Sean Williams, both from Whole Life Sports from Kingston, Jamaica. The coruse is being hosted by Minister Sharmaine Adderley.
Participants are being taught a number of topics including: Effective Sports Outreach; Street Outreach Training; Community Outreach Programs; Personal Development Training; Major Sports Events Participation; Sustained Outreach; Growing Organizational Membership; Youth Based Curriculum Integration; Youth Based Program Development; Youth Adult Program Structure; Effective Community Center Structure and International Sports Outreach Opportunities.
