Reaching out to promote Carifta Games

The Local Organizers of Carifta 2013 are committed to reaching out to every circle of the community to promote this prestigious event, which is scheduled for March this year in the new Thomas A Robinson Stadium.

Golden Girl Pauline Davis-Thompson will be visiting schools throughout the capital and the Family Islands to enkindle the Carifta Spirit. Davis-Thompson is a member of the Organizing Committee and will be accompanied in her visits by SAY-NO, the Carifta mascot, a Bahamian Potcake. SAY-NO is also the mascot for the National Drug Council, with whom the LOC is partnering to highlight “drug-free” sports.

Other elite athletes and former Carifta standouts will join Pauline in her visits as she carries the Carifta message to our schools.

This week, she visited SC McPherson, St Cecelia’s and CH Reeves Schools.
