149 were given the bad news at a 10:00am meeting this morning. They weren't allowed in the Prime Minister's building. Executives of the union were later allowed to speak wth Perry Christie, Shane Gibson and Obie Wilchcombe for a few minutes and invited to return at 3:30 today.

Mama always say, "when you spit in the wind it blows back in ya face". Loon spit on the Prime Minister's face and his words coming back to haunt him.

You need to ask mama what that brown stuff is coming out and off the face of the PM , it looks like spit but smells like the other thing.

there is no way in hell that the union leader did not no about this lay off , they no that elections are near and she and her cohorts are out, this is all show boat motion, and the sad things is that the labour leader appears to be in bed with them ,however no amount of government support can stop this tidal wave that will sweep her and her team out.

Democracy is challenged everyday when senior individuals like Shane Gibson ,who admitted to knowing earlier in the week of the mindset or looming intentions of wyndam exec's. Sandy Sands who obviously new what was about to transpire but stood by and allowed fellow bahamians to be disrespected in an industry that for years has been the driving force of this economy on the backs of these hard working mothers fathers sons and daughters.............IT is my opinion **Nicole Martin is not in bed with anyone that will harm or create an unstable union but we the people must open our Eyes Ears and Stand UP the same way America did for Obama AGAIN TO FINISH THE JOB HE STARTED!!!!because even the right choice meets obstacles and hurdles that slow progress but slow progress is MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN REGRESS

It seems to me that many people don't understand what private business means or is. If I am a company like the Wyndham that in 2002 had 850 rooms and 900 employees and in 2010 down to only 500 rooms with the same 850-900 employees that this business model makes any sense. In fact the resort I am told has net losses in the $15 - $20 range per year. Unlike BEC, BahamasAir and Water and Sewage, a private owner does not have tax payers and the public treasury to milk and keep unprofitable corporations running with and over sized public service. So those that think the government has a say or could prevent the inevitable please ask yourselves if this was your business and you are losing millions per year because of business contractions and shrinkage that you will keep on payroll 400 extra employees just because you have $20 mil per year to burn!

It's an unfortunate thing but its business in the private sector vs. the public government ran world of unions and politics.

http://www.timesharescam.com/blog/149...">Wyndham timeshare presentations are hardcore and very long-lasting, people are usually pressured and bullied into buying a timeshare. The company has been sued in federal court several times by many wyndham timeshare owners for committing wrongs in their vacation credits, such as breach of contract, violation of California’s Timeshare Act and breach of fiduciary duty, among others.
