Members of the New Providence Youth American Football Association’s Development Programme will be enjoying their sporting activities in style, thanks to a generous donation made by the United States Embassy.
On Saturday, February 9, the US Embassy’s Public Affairs Officer, Erica Thibault, formally presented more than $1,000-worth of football-related apparel to program co-ordinators during a brief meeting at the Stapledon playing field.
The youth football association was formed in May 2011 as an arm of the Commonwealth American Football League (CAFL).
The goal of the program is to keep Bahamian youth involved in positive recreational activities that instill leadership skills and promote teamwork.
