THE NEWLY released music video by Bahamian rapper Sosa Man went viral this month after its online release. The video fuses two of Sosa Man’s new singles into one production, Swagg Shuffle and Time, offering contrasting looks into life of the high flying Bahamian artist.

Swagg Shuffle is an anthem for young people doing things in the big leagues. Sosa Man is depicted having fun, dancing the swag shuffle with a group of his friends.

Time is an inspirational tribute to anyone who has had to learn the virtue of patience in the pursuit of their dreams. The video lights gets close and personal with Sosa Man as he works out in the gym, a place of meditation for the artist.

“I got inspiration for the Swagg Shuffle from a four year old kid. He is actually a friend’s son and I asked him to do a dance where he is just ‘swagged out’ and he did it. I thought it was so good and decided to use that dance in the video. Doing the video was fun because it made me feel like when I was 21-years-old when I was just getting started in music,” said Sosa Man.

“Time on the other is the kind of song I listen to that gets me patient. The gym is where I go to get myself focused on what’s next and I just wanted to get everything familiar again. I start thinking about my next moves and the next step for me in terms of my music and my career. In the gym is where all of that goes down. So both scenes show a different side to who I am,” he said.

Much of the feedback for the new release has been positive. Darren, a Sosa Man fan, said: “This song can definitely be played in the club. This is one of those tracks you are not ashamed to blast in your car. The video even topped everything off much more because it was produced so well.” The video was directed by Farreno Ferguson and Schinguyen.

“Along with the positive comments you also get the critical comments as well. Some people said they wished there was more camera angles, or more cars. Some even said I should have hit the gym and get my body ready for the camera. Some critics do not understand the balance between budget and timing. If I was to judge it I would say it was perfect,” said Sosa Man.

He plans to hit local and international radio circuit to promote the project, and is gearing up for the opening of his new recording studio.
