RENTOKIL Initial celebrated its golden anniversary in the Bahamas with a cocktail reception at the British Colonial Hilton yesterday.

At the event, the company took the opportunity to thank its staff and customers for their support over the years and showcased new products being introduced to the market for 2013.

Rentokil Initial, one of the world’s largest pest control, hygiene and essential services companies, established itself in the Bahamas in 1962 through the purchase of Ripco Limited, a small Nassau based firm specalising in termite control and fumigation.

Rentokil’s area director Paul Hocking, who flew in from London to attend the event, praised the operation’s 11 Nassau employees for growing the business into a “market leader”.

“One just needs five minutes in the office to sense that this more than just an office. It is a family of dedicated members who are passionate about what they do.

“They truly live our core values of service, relations and teamwork and embody our vision of being the best as what we do by doing what’s right for our colleagues and customers,” he said.
