Second crash victim dies

ANOTHER victim of last week’s horrific car accident in Eleuthera has died.

On Wednesday, February 20, a 2001 Nissan Sentra carrying three women and three toddlers lost control on the Queen’s Highway and crashed into a utility pole, claiming the life of the 15-month-old Keiron Dorcent.

Three of the survivors were airlifted to New Providence for treatment, but police report that 18-year-old Lakeisha Rolle died on Sunday.

Police on the island and officials from New Providence have launched an intensive investigation into the crash.

Eyewitnesses said the car was travelling north on Queen’s Highway at around 10.30am when the crash took place.
