A maintenance worker was crushed to death when the plane he was working on collapsed on him early this morning.
According to sources at LPIA, the mechanic had been flown in from the United States to carry out repairs on a Regional Air plane. The man was said to have been working on the landing gear of a 19-seat Beechcraft airplane when the accident occurred.
Reportedly workers who witnessed the incident were in a state of shock. Police are on the scene.
