Two held over three murders

POLICE arrested two men in connection with three separate murders that occurred in 2011 and 2012.

The first suspect, a 22-year-old man of Bain and Grants Town, is being questioned in reference to the murder of Joshua Rolle Darling.

Joshua,18, was killed on June 29, in the area of Quakoo Street, between Market and East Streets.

The country’s latest homicide victim has been identified by family members as 18-year-old Joshua Rolle.

Police say he was killed after a game of dice went wrong. He became the county’s 67th murder for 2012.

The second suspect, a 20-year-old male of Fox Hill, is being questioned by detectives for the murders of Stephen Davis and Olsworth Bell.

Davis, 28, was murdered in October of 2011. Police say he was shot multiple times about the body after an argument with another man.

Bell, 39, died in hospital on May 25, 2012 after being shot multiple times on Joe Farrington Road.

According to Officer in Charge of the Central Detective Unit, the men are expected to be charged in connection with these murders this afternoon.
