VOLLEYBALL

NPVA ACTION

THE New Providence Volleyball Association continued its regular season with a double header at the DW Davis Gym.

In the first match, Team PASSE defeated the Saints 25-12, 25-19 and 25-14 as Maurice Smith led all scorers with 10 points and Ron Demeritte had seven points, 12 digs and nine receptions. For the Saints, Rajahl Moxey led the way with nine kills, five digs and 13 receptions and Christopher Cash finished with three blocks and an ace.

In the feature match, the Technicians disposed of the National Fence Intruders in four sets as Muller Petit led all scorers with 14 kills, five aces and five digs. Eric ‘Pappy’ Johnson finished with nine receptions.

For the Intruders, Prince Wilson scored 12 points to go with two digs and 14 receptions. William McKinney finished with five points of which three were blocks. The NPVA is slated to be back in action with a double header 7:30pm tonight.

OSSIE ‘the Insider’ Simons from Grand Bahama has released his rankings of the high school boys and girls basketball teams as they prepare to resume play this week after the Christmas break.
