Sandals hails Bahamian landscaper’s promotion

Sandals Emerald Bay is celebrating the promotion of Duvann Munroe as its first Bahamian assistant landscaping manager.

Mr Munroe has been employed with Sandals Emerald Bay as part of its pre-opening team since August 2009, and worked his way up to supervisor.

‘Mo’, as he is affectionately called, has 10 years experience in the field and will be responsible for the Grounds department in the absence of a mandscaping manager.

Mr Munroe, who was Sandals Emerald Bay’s Supervisor of the Year for 2010, said: “If you love what you do, it will show in the service you provide. Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things.”

He expressed his gratitude to management at Sandals Emerald Bay, particularly the property’s general manager, Jeremy Mutton, for giving him the opportunity to grow and develop as part of the team.

Mr Munroe is married with two children and is a proud Exumian.
